Anheuser-Busch began in St Louis in 1860 and it was started by Eberhard Anheuser and then carried on by Adolphus Busch when Anheuser died in 1880. The brewery was to develop what is now one of the most popular beers in America, Budwieser.
The company recently bought by InBev and it is now the largest brewer in the world with sales of more than $36.4 billion a year. This new combined brewer now makes top brands such as Stella Artois, Budweiser, Michelob and Becks.
The North American Headquarters for Anheuser-Busch InBev are the brewery in St Louis, which has been going since 1852. You can have a free tour around the facility and through this tour you will view the Clydesdale Stable, Brew House and Packaging facility. Your guide will also give you further information on the brewing process and the history of the company, as well as answer any questions. At the end of the tour you can enjoy a nice cold Budweiser with several brands available on tap.
There is also a paid tour available called the Beermaster Tour which offers a more behind the scenes look at the brewing process and also gives you the chance to sample beer direct from a finishing tank.
